Make a Difference
Restoring our communities.
Reimagining our future.
Regardless of the neighborhood you live in, recovering from the May 16th tornado is a collective community effort, and there are many ways to get involved. We're working with partners and key stakeholders in the affected neighborhoods to cultivate volunteer and donation opportunities that address residents' unmet needs
Current Recovery Needs
- Debris Removal; make damaged homes safe and livable by volunteering to clean up
- Essential Item Donation; help provide and distribute food and other basic household goods not covered by other aid
- Organizational Support; connect with and support organizations already working toward tornado recovery

Is There a Volunteer Opportunity Not Shown Here?
With so much of the community stepping up to help those affected by the tornado, it can be challenging to keep up with all of the ways to help. If you're aware of any upcoming volunteer opportunities or other recovery efforts, let us know the details of the opportunity!
Once you submit your event opportunity, the Recovery Office will reach out for confirmation before we adding to the website.
Where to Donate
Monetary donations to recognized disaster relief organizations help fund response and recovery efforts, obtain goods and services locally and provide direct financial assistance to disaster survivors to meet their own needs. Donations to disaster relief organizations support recovery efforts, local services, and direct assistance for those affected.
Give directly to tornado recovery efforts through the Community Foundation.
